Welcome
My name is Lucas, and I currently split my time between two Brazilian cities: the majority of my year is spent in Brasília, in the Federal District, and the remainder in Goiânia, in the state of Goiás. In Brasília, I have not yet established a fixed station, as I devote most of my time to operating in SOTA and POTA modes, particularly with low power (QRP). I am a radio enthusiast with a passion for military, diplomatic, commercial, aviation, and maritime services, focusing on military digital modes and geostationary satellites.
I hold a degree in aeronautical mechanics, with specialization in avionics (electronics) and aeronautical cell (structures). From 2015 to 2019, I worked in aviation in Goiânia and Rio Verde. Currently, I am completing my degree in aerospace engineering at the University of Brasília and am part of the staff at the Coordination of Satellites and Applications of the Brazilian Space Agency.
Regarding the operation of my station, I concentrate my efforts on the 28MHz, 24MHz, 21MHz, 18MHz, 14MHz, 10MHz, and 7MHz bands, exclusively for DX. Occasionally, I allocate space in the 144MHz band for local contacts, although it is not my primary focus in amateur radio. My main goal is to expand the number of countries with which I make contact.
I operate enthusiastically in modes such as SSB, FT8, CW, and occasionally participate in operations on FM satellites.
Confirmation of our contacts is a common practice for me, mainly done on QRZ and, especially, on the LOTW platform. Although I am open to receiving QSL cards, I am currently in the process of creating one specifically for my station. Those who send me cards will promptly receive a response.
I sincerely appreciate your time spent reading this! 73! I look forward to our future encounters on the airwaves!
